For the last 15 years, Coulas & Lourdes partnership have illustrated countless editorial pages and advertising campaigns. This team have turned their creative energies towards designing and licensing retail programs. They are also currently developing characters for an animated short and are expectantly waiting the November 2006 launch of The Pop-up Book of Celebrity Meltdowns. “Our Daily Dread” has been selected by the Society of Illustrators’ Dimensional Salon, 2006.

Mick Coulas, Illustrator, Photoshop Professional, Character Developer
Mick’s creativity has taken a turn into character development, animation and licensing opportunies. His sketches are the inspiration for the scluptural style, his concepts capturing the absurdity of life’s everyday struggles. Pictured left is “How’s that technology workin’ for ya?”

Valerie Gaudet, Sculptor, Character Developer
With a background in animation - Valerie has sculpted Mick’s drawings into cartoon sculptural illustrations that capture the hilarity of the expression that is so important to the comedic statement. The characters these two develop add charm and collect-ability to the items they design.

Candace Lourdes, Painter, Photographer, Designer
Candace the designer for Country Buddies™, Revel-ink’s new licensing program, has a fondness for tableware. Her 5 foot by 7 foot paintings are of extreme close up of overlooked objects that have been used to express a lifetime of kindness through everyday exchanges. Candace paints on, sews clothes for, and photographs the sculptural style.
